Melissa is a valued member of the reception team at Dentistry at the Grove in Burlington, bringing a warm and welcoming presence to the front of the office. Although Melissa is new to the field of dentistry, she has quickly become a friendly and familiar face for patients. Prior to this career change, Melissa spent 15 years working as a Travel Consultant, and made the transition into dentistry with enthusiasm and a passion for connecting with people.
What Melissa enjoys most about her role is the strong sense of team and community within the practice. She feels incredibly welcomed and supported by Dr. Fernando and the entire team, and truly values the positive, comfortable environment they have created for patients. Being part of a space where patients feel at ease makes her role at the front desk especially rewarding.
Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, often heading to the mall or going bowling together on weekends. She also loves trying new restaurants with friends and baking with her mom—something she finds both relaxing and meaningful.
With family roots in Belgium, Melissa has mastered her family’s Belgian waffle recipe and is currently working on perfecting traditional Belgian chocolate. When it comes to her favourite meal, she keeps it classic—steak, French fries, and asparagus.
